How My Cruise Intel makes money — and what it never affects
Last updated 2026-09-04.
The one rule
Money never affects rankings. Which ship My Cruise Intel recommends, and in what order, is determined only by how well each ship matches the preferences you enter, using a fixed method described on How it works. No cruise line or partner can pay to rank higher, rank lower, or be hidden. The commercial layer of this site has no access to the scoring engine.
Where a commission may apply
Some links that take you off My Cruise Intel — a "Check sailings & prices" button, or a link to a cruise line's own site — may be affiliate links. If you later book through one, My Cruise Intel may receive a commission from the cruise line or a booking partner, at no extra cost to you. Today, those buttons point to the cruise line's official ship page; My Cruise Intel is preparing for provider partnerships but is not the booking merchant.
Advertising
My Cruise Intel may show clearly labeled display advertising on research pages. Ads are never shown on the questionnaire or your results, and advertisers cannot influence recommendations.
Advisor referrals
If you explicitly opt in, My Cruise Intel can pass your email and the recommendations you saw to a partner travel advisor for pricing or booking help. That is a separate choice you make, it is never required, and it does not change your recommendation. See the privacy page.
